Poison Canyon Downhill MTB loop

Download GPX

The first MTB-only downhill trail in Fishers Peak State Park offers a short but fun mix of tech, flow, berms, and jumps.

The first portion is chill, but as soon as you hit the first big left-turning berm, prepare yourself. While everything is rollable, there are some technical sections and alternate lines that have black-level features alongside some exposure to the cliff face.

Shortly after that first big berm, look to your left for a B-line with two drop options. You'll hit a large section of slickrock -- stay left for a more technical line or stay right for the easy line. Both dump into big berms. After this, there is a rocky section of switches with a couple moderately technical moves required; then when you pop out parallel to the highway, it's time for a bike-park style rollercoaster with steep berms and a few tabletops. Finally you'll spit out back onto the entrance road.
